Fall Flower Girl Dresses

Looking at autumn trends makes me wish that we had fall in the Philippines. Sure, we can still wear many of the trends and colors of the season, but wouldn’t it be nice if trees outside were shedding their leaves and getting ready for the winter? Anyway, you can replicate the crisp atmosphere of fall at your wedding by dressing your entourage appropriately. Start with the flower girl! While flower girls look adorable in just about any dress, they look extra sweet in the rich fabrics, deep jewel tones, and golden-brown hues of autumn. Bridesmaids Dress Trend: Black Accents

It’s easy to see why black is a favorite color for formal occasions. It looks classy, effortless, and safe; you can wear it again in several different ways, and you’ll always look elegant in it whether you’re heavily accessorized or wearing nothing more than pearl earrings. However, Filipinos discourage guests and bridesmaids from wearing black at weddings because we believe that it will only bring bad luck. That eliminates the easy option of the little black bridesmaids dress.
Then again, there’s no superstition that says black accessories and accents bring the same bad luck as an all-black dress. So if you want to give your ‘maids a dash of classic elegance without breaking tradition, consider black accents on their dresses – which also happens to be a hot trend for fall. Black accents is not actually new; I’ve seen black sashes on a few wedding gowns last season, as well as black wedding accessories. But for bridesmaids, however, splashes of black are the new modern way of making them stand out. Check out a few gorgeous dresses from the fall 2011 runways.
